Deviantart is (or was) promoting a campaign entitled, "Love Unites". The bottom line of the project was to combat homophobia with the likes of gay and lesbian couple art, I believe. The project appears to be friendly and harmless, but I'm aware of the notion behind homophobia. Anyone who defies homosexuality [especially if religion is involved) is considered as a homophobe. Homophobia is defined as a fear of homosexuals---which is a silly definition. Yes, I strongly disagree with homosexuality, but it's not because I'm afraid of gay and lesbians. Why not call me an "adulterphobe", too. I strongly disagree with adultery. Does this mean that I'm afraid of those who commit adultery?! Anyway, this journal is about true love: what it is, and what it isn't.

Did you hear the song entitled "Love Hurts"? [There are too many songs with that title, so I didn't bother to find the artist's name.] We get the point that a heart was broken. Yes, heartbreak is a horrible feeling for anyone to experience, but is love the culprit behind heartbreak? I had my share of disappointments in life; I had crushes that didn't go my way, but again, was it love's fault that all my crushes and short term goals weren't meant to be? Is it fair to cry out LOVE HURTS? No, it's not. The heart convey strong sensations that feels like love, but it could be leading one astray. [Matthew 15:19-For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:]

One can say that he's in love with so-in-so because of the strong feelings involved, but it is wise to examine the heart. [Psalm 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts;] This isn't to say that our feelings are futile, and that love isn't a feeling, which it is at times, but thousands (if not millions) of people confuse ill-wanted behaviors and actions with true love. So, what is true love? [1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is (springs) from God; and he who loves [his fellowmen] is begotten (born) of God and is coming [progressively] to know and understand God [to perceive and recognize and get a better and clearer knowledge of Him]. Correct. God is love, and it's even more rewarding to know that God loved us first before we ever loved Him. Now the question I want to ask you is this: Do you love God? Do you keep His commandments? Do you believe His Word? Do you believe that the bible was inspired by God?

1 John 4:6-"We are [children] of God. Whoever is learning to know God [progressively to perceive, recognize, and understand God by observation and experience, and to [e]get an ever-clearer knowledge of Him] listens to us; and he who is not of God does not listen or pay attention to us. By this we know (recognize) the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of error." I'm not trying to cast fear on anyone, because love is not fear. I'm asking these questions because many people say that they love God, but are walking on a road that is far from Him. Please take some time off and consider this question. In conclusion, love does not hurt. Love does not stink, it's not cruel, love is not lust, i.e. fornication, adultery, homosexuality, pedophilia, sadomasochism---ANY sexual perversion is not love. True love is from the Lord. To any one who has a broken heart at the moment, let the Lord repair your heart. He created you, so he can fix you, and restore your desires to normal. Psalm 34:18 The LORD is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit.
