"But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you."
(Luke 6:27-28)
I will be the first one to admit it. It's not always easy to love someone who treats you like dirt on a daily basis, but with God all things are possible. For me, I would always have to ask God to help me to forgive, and to help me to love everyone just like how Jesus loves everyone. It's not always easy, but I continue to trade my sorrows, anger and frustration to the Lord in exchange for his forgiveness, wisdom and love.
SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS?! I would be lying if I would say that I haven't been down that road before. I believe that the word of God is right regardless to who objects, however...I learned that there is a way to still befriend those who strongly disagree with the bible. For instance, I think everyone knows that I'm strongly against homosexuality, and I do make more journals on the topic than many others. To be honest, I think I DO need to widen my journal topics...and this idea was introduced to me by an atheist. (she knows who she is lol)
I will admit that I was like "HMP! I don't have to listen to her! She don't like me anyway! NYEEEH!" Self righteousness, ladies and gentlemen: it brings out the most stubborn side of anyone regardless to their beliefs. I believe that defeating self righteousness is a key to befriending an enemy. For me, I needed God's help on befriending an enemy because like I said, it's not easy...especially when so many people are red hot mad at ya. NOW, I will not compromise my belief in God to win a new friend, but I will do what God says do---
"But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Luke 6:35
XFURY!
PS, I erased the original journal due to multiple derailing comments. I love my enemies, true, but I will rebuke when necessary. Don't take it personally.

and by the way
Timothy 2:11-12 proclaims, A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent.
Silence please.

Chew the hand that feed's
You wrote-"But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Luke 6:35
But then you wrote-I love my enemies, true, but I will rebuke when necessary.
This contradicts with the scripture.
Don't you think that a journal with a controversial subject is going to generate many differences in opinions?
I suggest you pray for guidance before you answer any of the new comments.
Until you give us a true testimony about befriending your enemies, don't post a journal like this.

ANYWAY, I can't fully explain Timothy 2:11-12, but this person can. [link]

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the Rock and firm Strength of my heart and my Portion forever. Psalm 73:26
Rebuking is a form of chastising and punishment. So would this be against the scripture? No. Chastising is in the bible, might I add it is approved. (For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness.) Heb. 12:10
Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. Rev. 3:19
So no, my friend. When I rebuke, it is nothing spiteful nor is it contradictory to the bible.

Check this: "For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness". Heb. 12:10
"As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent" (Rev. 3:19).
I erased YOUR comments because it was too personal and I told you that I would speak on it only if we took it to the notes, but you wouldn't listen to me. So, I took action and erased your comments. We can still talk about whatever that issue was about, just not in the public.
DEAL?

She doesn't even know what she's talking about. I guess daddy wasn't around to give a scripture.
Because she is doesn't even know the meaning of her own journal.
" HI I'M BEFRIENDING MY ENEMIES....OH NOES YOU DISAGREED WITH ME, I WILL REBUKE YOU NOW!!"

I don't get why you're making this so difficult...not unless you like online drama...
