Hell-Born as sinners

Mon Jun 29, 2009, 8:54 PM
"But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:" 2 Corinthians 4:3

It's been a tragic week in Holly Wood with the deaths of Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, and just recently, Billy Mays. I hope no one takes this to an offense, but these recent deaths have only motivated me to preach about Hell. Why? Because there is Heaven and there is Hell; one of the two will be where you will spend your eternity. Everyone, regardless if you‘re a celebrity or popular, needs to hear the gospel before it could be too late. What are the chances of a famous person coming to Deviantart, you asked?! Well, hey. Jim Lee has a DA account, so it's possible. *jimlee00 This journal covers on why are humans born as sinners, and who was Hell meant for from the beginning.

Born as sinners

Hell is a place of everlasting torment originally made for satan and the angels who rebelled against God. (Ezekiel 28:12-19, Isaiah 14:12-16) After Eve and Adam ate from the tree of knowledge, [because Eve was deceived by satan and shared the fruit with her husband- Genesis 3:4-7] sin imparted to them and every human being to be born. (Therefore, as sin came into the world through one man, and death as the result of sin, so death spread to all men, [[h]no one being able to stop it or to escape its power] because all men sinned. [To be sure] sin was in the world before ever the Law was given, but sin is not charged to men's account where there is no law [to transgress]. Yet death held sway from Adam to Moses [the Lawgiver], even over those who did not themselves transgress [a positive command] as Adam did. Adam was a type (prefigure) of the One Who was to come [in reverse, [i]the former destructive, the Latter saving].(Romans 5:12-14)

Generally, all humans are born into sin; because of the fall of Adam, the bridge connecting us to God was broken. Sin is an offense to God which would explain why satan and his angels had to be removed from Heaven. So now that we know of our sinful lineage, the question is what can a human do to avoid going to Hell? The answer is the free gift of salvation through God’s grace. “But God's free gift is not at all to be compared to the trespass [His grace is out of all proportion to the fall of man]. For if many died through one man's falling away (his lapse, his offense), much more profusely did God's grace and the free gift [that comes] through the undeserved favor of the one Man Jesus Christ abound and overflow to and for [the benefit of] many.” (Romans 5:15)

Remember John 3:16,”For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Christ’s death on the cross was a sacrifice to all of humanity’s sin. His resurrection was the victory over sin and death. Therefore, whosoever believes, trust, and surrender their souls to Jesus Christ shall not die, but have everlasting life….and won’t go to hell! It makes perfect sense. I was born as a sinner. After I heard the gospel, God moved on me revealing the simple message of Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” I didn’t want to go to Hell. I wanted to be forgiven of all my trespasses. I wanted Christ as my savior. I needed to be reborn. As Jesus said in John 3:6-7, “What is born of [from] the flesh is flesh [of the physical is physical]; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not [do not be surprised, astonished] at My telling you, You must all be born anew (from above).”

Without Christ as your savior, you are still condemned to Hell because of your sins. Once one is dead and buried, it’s either Heaven…or it’s Hell. Well, there’s a lot more to preach on the topic of Hell because it’s an important and powerful message. Stay tuned for more. God bless.

Very good journal as always, XFF. :)

I shared this same message when Steve Irwin passed away. A lot of people jumped on me for being insensitive. That wasn't my intention at all, as I know it is not yours here, but you may still be accused of that.. What is it about false accusations that seem to come with living an honest Christ-centered life?

I'm sorry, I guess I'm getting off-topic. I've just been wondering about it lately. It's so frustrating when our true intentions are overlooked, and it seems to happen all the time, like the world already has a preset idea of who we are and no matter how different we are from what they expect they still assume the worst of us. Do you know what I mean?

You quote several excerpts from the Old Testament. It's a book of the Jews and I think you consider Jews to be heretics because they don't accept the messages of The New Testament.

You also quote the New Testament, especially the Epistle to the Romans. It is said to be written by St. Paul the apostle.

Now as you may know, in the First Council of Nicaea in 325 AD it was decided which books were accepted as parts of the New testament and which were rejected (Gospel of mary, Gospel of Philip etc.). The divinity of Jesus was democratically decided there as well as the rule that gentiles could join the church without becoming Jews first.

One of the key texts was the the Epistle to the Romans, which you seem to regard as important too. In it is written that the power of God for salvation is for both Jews and gentiles (1:16-17). However, Jesus, who was a Jew himself, said that "salvation is from the Jews" (according to John 4:22).

It is obvious why the Romans decided to accept the Epistle to the Romans to the New Testament book collection. That way they could convert pagans easily without circumcision and other uncomfortable Jewish passage rites. But how do you know that the quotes regarding Hell/sins/whatever in the Epistle to the Romans are the word of God if the Romans didn't choose that particular text because of it's closeness to the teachings of Christ, but mainly because it was useful for unifying Rome?

I sure do. Remember that those who are not born again have carnal minds. Romans 8:7 says,"[That is] because the mind of the flesh [with its carnal thoughts and purposes] is hostile to God, for it does not submit itself to God's Law; indeed it cannot."

But this scripture puts it into a better understanding on why worldly individuals war against the word of God.

"For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere." Ephesians 6:12

Once you understand who the real enemy is, it certainly helps to show more mercy on the outer person. Satan is just upset and he's going to wage war at us daily. Here's when long suffering comes in to play.

You have no idea how badly I needed that reminder tonight. Thank you so much. I will praise God anyway! :D

It was also a shame that Michael Jackson's good works were hidden and overshadowed by the medias obsession with his downfall until after his death, that was also an eye opener that we can't judge someone's heart based on what we hear.

I was reading a site called the Truth about Hell, if you've read it, what are your thoughts?

I wanted a clever signature to wow everyone....but I keep running out of room. :(

You forgot Ed McMahon (sp?). No matter what lives people lived, good or bad, we should pray for them when they are gone, they cannot pray for themselves.

 Some say there is no God, but I see more & more evidence daily that there is...too many things are just perfect & no exploding rock in space could produce such perfection! We alone are a prime example of the perfect machine..... :DNUFF SAID:D
:iconxiao-feng-fury:
Oh yeah. I forgot about him. If a person is in Heaven or Hell already, prayer can't do anything for them anymore.
